I find store decorations amusing. Like the cheap plastic window clings in the fancy (all steel and glass and cases sparsely filled with expensive pastries) bakery.
A shop that I pass by daily- it's a crackseed store- has a simple display. Most of it's the sort of cheap, store-bought stuff that you can find almost anywhere. There's no real room anything more elaborate.
There's also a handmade ghost. It's made out of black cloth, shaped almost exactly like a large teru teru bouzu. It has circles drawn with white out to form eyes and a mouth.
I have the feeling that it's completely innocent, but the idea that it resembled something struck today, in a single, horrifying moment.

Unfortunately, where I lived when I was a kid, the windows were always right above a radiator. When they no longer clung well, they tended to always fall in the "unlikely" chances of going between the cracks.
