Apr. 12th, 2007 02:51 pmThe book that I'm currently reading uses a rather unusual system of romaji. In that it does everything phonetically and not in line with any established system of romaji that I know of.
You get things like "nay-san" and "nee-san." Which is fine until you realize that "nee-san" is supposed to be 兄さん.
My mind automatically reads "nee" as "neh," not "Ni."
Lovely, really.
