I've heard that they're fairly sturdy, so I'm planning to take it on a field test tomorrow.

(Seriously, I ruined a perfectly good MD remote by catching it on a door and ripping out the wires because I just kept walking. I've also scratched up my arm this morning because I walked into a wicker basket. The cord is covered with cloth, so apparently it's relatively sturdy.)
