Ahahaha, so that's why I've been seeing that stupid commercial. (And that's also why my favorite soup line is such delicious goodness. I knew MSG pops up in a lot of places. Thank you for the clarification, Colbert Report! :D)
In other, very related news, I need to convince Dad that we should make Chex Mix this year. 8D
We put MSG in our Chex mix. That is why our Chex Mix is the best recipe I've ever tried. That, and at least a pound of butter. (The "official" recipe is alright, but it really can't compare to Grandma's recipe. They call that stuff "Aji-no-Moto" for a reason.)
...although I think Dad will probably say no, due to the aforementioned butter and the rather disreputable state that the kitchen is currently in.

Date: 2008-11-19 03:49 am (UTC)The problem is that the part I can't remember is what part Gen and Crys paid towards the couch. (I put in something towards that too, but I don't remember how much of that was mine. I mentally split the purchases and only bothered with the cost breakdown of the washer/drier set, for some reason.)
....also, because I have to do all this math, you're now morally obliged to give me a personal opinion. I commissioned a family portrait from the artist who drew me this. I'm planning to print it and have it matted, but do you think I should bother to have it framed? Or should I just load it onto that digital picture frame that my parents have for some reason and never use?

Date: 2008-11-19 04:00 am (UTC)I'd say it depends on many important factors, such as 1) how much you are in love with the finished result, 2) how good a deal you could theoretically get on framing, 3) whether there is any chance that anything else might get used in the digital frame, and 4) whether the digital frame looks good with the finished picture.
