Feb. 14th, 2008 12:48 amIt has just occurred to me that if I left my course packet in the bathroom, I would probably be better at getting the reading done on time. It's not that the reading isn't interesting, it's just that well, it's that I keep forgetting it exists until the last minute- and for the last three sessions, we didn't have any. The fact that some of the xeroxing is kind of faint doesn't help at this time of night.
I bought The World is Flat when I went to go get my finance textbook. (The textbook was sold out earlier, so I kind of was considering not getting it, but it's kind of helpful to have the textbook before you take finance tests, isn't it?) It was one of those books that I thought that I really ought to read- and really, I'm surprised it's never come up on the curriculum- but never got around to reading. I thought about buying it last December, but I didn't because I know for a fact that Daddy has a copy, and I know this partially because I have an excellent memory for those kinds of things, but mostly because I saw it in the bathroom at home. I meant to read it then as well, but it was dingy and covered in plastic and kind of icky, because it was in the bathroom (specifically, under the sink) for a really long time.
My copy also happens to be paperback, which is better for reading in bed because it's less likely to give
catfight a concussion.
