stuck in my brain
Apr. 20th, 2007 08:28 pmTwo things that I keep thinking of this week:
1) A scene from an episode of Hawaii 5-0. Actually, not having watched the show, I don't remember whether it was that show or not. But it was based in Hawaii. Might have been Magnum P.I. or whichever one it was.
It was in a parking garage. The elevator doors open, the man inside shot at someone. I think that someone shot back.
The man in the elevator ended up dying, which was mysteriously swift. This was all very fuzzy in my mind.
What stood out was the way that he was killed: Someone dropped down from the opening in the roof of the elevator and slid a wire into his ear, killing him without a trace. Or, at least, without much of one.
2) Spring and Fall, to a Young Child - Gerard Manley Hopkins.
