Still sick, though I've made great improvements upon my status two days ago. I suppose I should be halfway decent tomorrow morning.
Mom bought corn yesterday, fresh from the roadside. I was shucking some today and it an an unusually large amount of silk. Most of which was horribly wedged between the kernals. It was still quite very sweet, but she said that she probably wouldn't have bought it if she knew how much work it was going to be. It normally isn't that bad.
On the topic of designer purses, or rather, designer wallets. I've been seeing an abnormally large amount of them recently. Mostly Luis Vuitton, actually, some other brands show up but Luis Vuitton is definitely the most common. Most of it was owned by people who looked to be in their twenties, which is to be expected, but I wasn't expecting so many men to be carrying them. Also, some of the girls carrying them are rather young. I heard one guy saying about how he bought his wallet (Luis Vuitton, of course) from....Neiman Marcus, I think... because he wanted something that would wear well. Still, I know what those kind of things cost, never mind that the brands have their own stores in the mall, in addition to the stand alone stores that many have in Waikiki. (Not that I'd expect that to have any impact on the cost, save shipping. I just didn't expect to see so many designer wallets in a convienience store, of all places.
Anyway, I was terribly tempted by a Burberry wallet the other day- it was so cute and had the kind of combination coin purse that I wanted, but I decided against it in the end. A Burberry scarf, on the other hand, might be worth the investment. >>

(I have a little black Guess backpack that I appropriated from my mother. I didn't even know it was a copy until I saw it from the doorway of one of the shops. ^^;; )
Still, you won't believe how many I run into at work every day. I'd keep a tally in the name of science, but I'm kind of lazy and I can't recognize some of them. ^-^;;
