itt, we mime little shooting noises
Nov. 30th, 2007 05:35 pmWe took a quiz in Chinese today. After the quiz, mostly because it was such a miserable day and many people skipped, the teacher gave out really easy extra credit: 0.1 pts for answering a question correctly, 0.1 pts for asking one correctly. We went around the room in order, and anything that hadn't been used before was fair game. She started us out with "What is your full name?"
If a guy decides to ask a rather complex question, and takes a long time to do so because he keeps messing up, it slows down the entire class, and means we get less percentage points. To put things into perspective, it was a five point quiz, but the quizzes cumulatively make up about a third of our grade. 0.1 points is actually a lot. (And also it was kind of boring listening to him. Late afternoon class on a Friday for goodness sakes.)
