Today Michie bought her first pair of leg warmers. She wasn't sure about it at first, because she doesn't quite understand how to get them to bunch properly, but they have grown on her very quickly.

The legwarmers in question were 210 yen from a hyaku-en shop, but aren't of too horrible quality. In fact, they are a rather fetching shade of burgandy, which actually goes with some of her clothing. (Actually, Michie was planning to just wear the legwarmers in her dorm room because the bathrooms do not seem to be heated.)

However! Michie has discovered that legwarmers can be worn under flared jeans, which means that they are an easier to wear and better aimed alternative to long underwear! No one can be able to tell how warm she is! This means she wins!

Michie was also pleased to find a pack of B4 sized "drawing paper," which seemed to be a bit more like stiff posterboard. 100 yen for 14 sheets is cheap. ^____^

In other news, I'm re-evaluating my choices of personal pronouns. I've discovered that when I'm writing, I'll usually use 私. When I'm speaking, I'll usually drop it, but if forced to, will also use わたし、because あたし seems to confuse people for some reason. When I'm mentally composing sentences, I usually use Micchan. Actually, I'd probably use it when speaking as well, but I generally edit my speach for sanity's sake. >>;;

I was reading a book I borrowed from my professor, which had a chapter that touched upon the reason why Japanese women sometimes raise the pitch of their voices when they speak, although their natural pitch is somewhat lower. (They were specifically talking about the way elevator girls were trained, but they also touched upon idols and talents.) My reaction was something along the lines of "wait a second, I do that." It makes a lot more sense if you've ever heard me speak in Japanese...if I had a microphone, I'd phonepost to prove it.

Yes, I tend to be a bit ぶり子 at times. By "at times," I mean quite often. -______-;;
