The earlier character descriptions did nothing to explain the love that is Akito. (I have a soft spot for smiling happy death-type characters. Not happy hyper death ones, but the calmer types. Although, you might say that Agito is psychotic-type.) He's ridiculously adorable. I think Ume is terribly cute as well, but she doesn't get nearly enough screentime.

I really, really, really want to cosplay Ume. It would probably be fairly easy to pull off. Hardest part would be making her doll. >>

I don't like Ikki very much, but I find myself rooting for him (and continuing to read) anyway. It's rather strange.

I'm also very fond of Kazu- I started liking him during the chapter with the cigarettes. It was probably the first time you saw him without a hat. ♥ ♥ ♥ that haircut. *is fond of very fast characters*
