You know those two fuzzy green mascots for what I think was the Aichi expo? They look like giant green balls of fur, except slightly elongated. The taller one is dark green and the shorter one is a lighter hue.

They're actually kind of cute.

I'm not sure how I first saw them, but I thought they were kind of cute. Some of the t-shirts are rather adorable.

Anyway, today was the first day of class and the teacher commented on the fact that one of the boys had a small plushie of the larger one hanging from his keychain.

In response, I pulled out the little cell phone charm of the two of them that I got from my aunt.

Then this other girl pulled out a plushie keychain of the smaller one.

I have no clue where they came from.


....When I went to google for the mascots, I discovered that it ended yesterday. Ack.

The mascots are so cute. For some reason, I keep thinking I've seen something like them before. I can't quite put my finger on it. Or maybe because the idea of soft looking creatures is so common.

I think the first time I saw them as something some one had randomly pulled into a livejournal rpg. (I don't recall which one, but the context was "a school festival" and Fuji was involved. I think the only reason I was looking at it was that school festivals amuse me.)

Then I saw them on the t-shirt of a girl I randomly ran into.

They just kept popping up occaisionally.

I think they multiply.
