I've decided that I need an I am a consumer whore tag. I probably need an icon as well.

In explanation, I present the following anecdote: my high school Japanese teacher used to give participation points for voluntarily speaking to her in Japanese outside of the classroom. The result was a series of conversations that I still mentally refer to as "Micchan no Kaimono Nikki."

That said, I finally broke down and bought an ipod. (It's a blue ipod mini, hereby named "Raiel.") Blame the nano.


I've been spending a lot of time in the company of my mother these past few days. We've been shopping. A lot.

We've also watched "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" - twice. Once in the regular fashion and a second time with one of the commentary tracks. (The Terry track)

Tonight, we watched "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Twice. We weren't expecting to, but the commentary was surprisingly decent.

I also saw a movie in theater two days in a row (Saturday and Sunday) but surprisingly, I was not accompanied by mother on either occasion.
