Sep. 6th, 2009 12:52 amI read my new Anthony Bourdain book the other night. It turned out to be mostly photographs, but I discovered that his suggestion for finding up-to-date restaurant recommendations in areas where you have no prior contacts consists of what can be summarized as pissing people off on the internet. Words cannot describe my admiration for this man. :')
(From my knowledge of the internet, it seemed to be much more practical advice than most other travel books.)
I'm playing this Reborn RPG (Fate of Flame,) and it occurs to me that the voice acting in The World Ends With You was really inspired. Actually, I already knew that it was pretty inspired, but since I'm actually playing this game it strikes me that rather than having a recording of Reborn saying "Katekyo Hitman Reborn," it would be much more effective to just have random recordings of Tsuna making Oh God, this cannot be happening WHY ME? noises.
(I don't have particularly high hopes about actually liking the game, but I do expect to enjoy complaining about it. Then again, Kindan no Yami no Delta grew on me even though it had an absolutely pathetic plot. I play it to blast my opponents from halfway across the map.)
