I like this tiara.

I'd actually consider wearing it in public, but it's mostly because I really like the way it holds my hair back. The design isn't my preferred one, although it's about the right size- my hair covers the headband wire, and the combs hold things in place well.

(I had always wanted a tiara, and even considered attending prom in order to see if I could finagle my way into one by mascot value. Unfortunately, senior prom fell during spring break and ski trip >>>>> one night of music I don't like. I don't regret not going as much as I regret that he prom committee had the nerve to schedule things so inconveniently.)

(But it turns out you can buy your own tiaras! What a novel discovery. Actually, I got mine for Christmas, but I used to enjoy reading party supply catalogs to look at the really weird gigantic cardboard props they had. I also used to enjoy infomercials and the home shopping network, but at least I know better than to order anything by phone.)
