The 2 liters bottles of water were on sale for 93 yen yesterday, so I ended up buying a case. even though it wasn't the brand that I usually get.

Fact 1: the store is about 5 minutes away by bike.
Fact 2: It takes considerably longer if one unable to secure a case of water on the rack with the amount of bungie cord one has.
Fact 3: it would probably have been pretty funny to watch.

Calpis water was also on sale, but apparently it wasn't in the register yet. I accidentally got overcharged 20 yen -which isn't much. However, if one spends a few seconds frowning at the receipt, the cashier will generally ask you what's wrong. It wasted a bit of my time and was a bit embarassing, but I got my 20 yen off. (The funny thing is that the topic of yesterday's speaking class included customer complaints.)

But when I got to the dorms, I realized that class would start in 18 minutes and I normally alot 30 minutes, because it's usually a 20 minute bike ride. I pedeled like mad, but made it, just on the dot!

I've recently realized that the building next to the train staition is a hospital. (I just looked up and realized suddenly that those kanji say hospital, hmm!)

It is impossible to find an open bakery at 9:00 at night. Grocery stores are only nearly impossible.

Speaking of Japanese grocery stores, they tend to be laid out so that the cashier can start ringing up the next customer while waiting for the previous one to fish out their cash. Efficient.

I've decided that I need a new electronic dictionary. I plan to buy it from Midori tomorrow- it's 8,000 yen off and the sale ends tomorrow. Lucky~

I've figured out how to use it to look stuff up and it's very lucky that I didn't wait until the weekend.
