Nov. 19th, 2005 10:57 pmThe school festival was rather fun today. After getting separated from the group and spending about an hour playing phone tag trying to find them, ("WHERE ARE YOU?!" "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!" "WE WAITED FOR YOU WHERE WERE YOU?!" (answer: at the other side of the stage. ^^;;)) I wandered around eating with my friends.
I think certain people would have found it very interesting. There were several guys in dresses, which appears to be a Japanese school fair staple. There was also a guy in an eggplant costume- I firmly believe that we would have found each other faster if we used him for a landmark instead. There was a really interesting jump rope competition, which would explain why we saw people out practicing double dutch in front of the gym for the past 8 weeks.
There would have been a GLBT parade today, but I didn't go to see it. I was kind of curious, because it was advertised aggressively for the past month or so but I was kind of tired.
I bought a photo book. The concept was "throwing things in the air and taking pictures of them." I also bought earrings.
It turns out that the Kishidan had a concert at the other half of the festival last week, but that was on the other campus. I weep. ;____; (The Kishidan are the very nice band who are responsible for that one Rocky Horror meets 70's gang space aliens meets Richard Simmons music video. They are very special. More importantly, their music doesn't suck.)
The other highlight was that guy beat boxing "Ue wo Muite."
Tonight, a group of us went bowling. It involved a lot of jumping up and down, shrieking, and high fives, so it was probably the most fun I've ever had bowling. ("I HIT THE PINS, YAY!" It was probably good practice for going to concerts.) Then they gave us very detailed score sheets, which proved that one pin was out to get me.
