Does anyone know anything about getting refunds from movie theaters? It suddenly occurred to me that I should have asked for my money back after some of the movies I've walked out of. (Of course, most of this was 5 or 6 years ago. Incidentally, I'm a horrible person to go to the movies with.)
Also, I took a stab at translating "Lucifer," to bring my understanding from "they mention dusk at one point, and are talking about some sort of star," to what the song is actually about. (As far as I can infer, it's about the morning/evening star. Therefore, Lucifer.)
I love how when I'm listening to it in Japanese, it's "they're inverting all the syntax, cool," and when I'm trying to translate it, it's "shit, more inverted syntax."
Also also, I wrenched my ankle again. Icing it now. Elevating, too.
The scenery I saw at sunset
is disappearing in the sky.
a lot of my memories are wavering
they're already unable to return.
look, it's sparkling in the darkness:
that sadly shining star....
the world I saw at twilight
by the lamplight of the disappearing day.
this fantasy world lingers
today, where we're looking for tomorrow
yes, setting out in the darkness
towards that gently shining star
the melody that brightens the night sky
rumbling in that far off eternity
don't forget this irreplaceable time
the dawn is waiting with overflowing hope
and a great distance away...
it's aiming at an ideal world
edit: I'm currently trying to track down a sailor moon fanfic in a fit of nostalgia. Which is all well and good, save for the fact that I didn't, you know, watch sailor moon. (Other than a bit of the dub, which was all first season, and I'm looking for stuff from the last.)
