Jul. 27th, 2009 09:03 pmWhile poking through wikipedia today, I stumbled across Láadan. Apparently it's supposed to, among other things, compensate for the ambiguity in masculine language. For instance, there's a word indicating that the sentence is based on information that the speaker has gotten from someone else- but they think that the other party is probably incorrect. I happen to like my ambiguity, thanks. (The hilarious part was trying to compare it to Klingon, when it obviously lacked the driving force behind Klingon, which was, naturally, a tv show.)
I'm currently trying to find Vista's task scheduler. According to Microsoft's website, they amped it up. That's great! Now if only they could be so kind as to tell me where they hid it, as opposed to making me run a system search for it. Control panel? You'd think that would be a good place to put it, now wouldn't you? But nooooooooooo, we can't have such nice things.
Okay, I found it. I fail to see how this is an improvement, as I tried to create a task, as as far as I can tell, it was created, and yet, I still can't find the damn thing. Meh.
