It turns out that the aloe vera drink was rather horrible. (It consisted of aloe vera juice mixed with um... stuff with bits of aloe floating in it.)

I'm not particularly surprised, considering that the last aloe-flavored thing that I had (aloe calpis) was also horrible. In fact, it could be said that I bought the drink expecting it to be horrid.

Actually, the problem was probably the grape extract. Ewww, grape.


(The bits of aloe themselves were quite tasty. How would one cook aloe? I should acquire some and try it. By "acquire," I mean beg mom to get some from grandpa. I don't think Grandpa ought to pick it himself. :[)


(edit: Found something! Peeling the aloe would probably be a pain, though. It's messy.)

I really like aloe drinks with all the pulpy bits =3. At the Uwajimaya here, Pokka I think it is makes a few flavors in cans, aloe with the liquid part flavored with apple, blueberry, peach, and white grape, though I've seen a couple discontinued flavors, too (don't remember what they were, though.)
