That really sucks. MSG doesn't really have a taste, but it definitely adds a sort of depth of flavor to foods.
On the other hand, the first time I made chex mix, Dad didn't tell me what exactly it was, only to not eat it on it's own, because it's poisonous like that....or was he talking about cream of tartar?
