Daddy has a little tin of bandaids that comes from when they actually came in metal tins. (This was not to long ago and much less impressive than the little tin of asprin that one of my aunts has. It's smaller and flatter than a tin of mints and looks like a non-childproof, but bloody convienient way of carrying medicine.)
I found a little paper packet of pepper in there, right next to the antiseptic. The reason for its inclusion remains a mystery.
Went to the state library today. I forgot how quietly beautiful the building is- next time I should bring a camera.
